is a racquet sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a
four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players must alternate
in striking the ball with their racquet and hit the ball onto the playable
surfaces of the four walls of the court.
After the serve, the players take turns hitting the ball against the front wall, above the tin and below the outline. The ball may strike the side or back walls at any time, as long as it hits below the outline. Players may move anywhere around the court but accidental or deliberate obstruction of the other player's movements is forbidden. Players typically return to the centre of the court after making a shot.
The minor details which have to kept in mind while playing squash will only come with practice and can be made perfect with the help of a coach who will teach you the basics like for instance never take your eye off the ball. This is for two reasons; one so you make sure you return properly and two for your health. The ball will be moving quickly and it can hurt!
